Western Red Cedar is a beautiful wood. It is light and durable. Western Red Cedar is often used for façades, dormer windows, eaves and soffit boards.
Treating Western Red Cedar with Restol™ Wood Oil gives great results. Pay particular attention to the quality of finish prior to treatment. A poor quality finish will be exaggerated, especially when using a transparent colour. Western Red Cedar weathers relatively quickly. When treating partially or fully weathered wood you should be aware that excessive colour variation may result in a poor end result. Treatment with a transparent colour will accentuate the colour differences further.
